There is a wide range of sights and destinations that awaits your RV (campervan, motorhome) in US. With its array of diverse National Parks especially the Grand Canyon, the wilderness, the vibrant cities and the crystal like seas. United States has certainly something for everyone. Whether you spend a holiday with your friends or family it will always be something that will bring the bond closer and gives you something you don’t expect to see or experience. How can you call it dull when you wake up with the sound of the breeze, eat lunch beside the trees, or dine in a different atmosphere everyday. Our vehicle from Campertravel was something that we needed, perfect for six people with power steering and cruise control making it easier to cruise the road. There are other vehicles to choose at
RV hire usa. It wasn’t that expensive as I thought, I told Dad that he could have paid more for taking us to the hotels and would have been inconvenient to pack and unpack our luggages. Which was certainly something that was obvious.

So we rented out a cool vehicle with toilet and shower. AM/FM radio and CD was a good thing but I was thankful that I brought my ipod so I get rid of my Dad’s oldies. It was great that we can eat outside the vehicle with soothing air but our dinette table inside the vehicle was great we can see green views outside while sitting on a comfortable seat and enjoying our meals from the grill. So of course the Grand Canyon was simply amazing especially at the South Rim that expresses different attitudes. If you could catch up early you should see a good sunrise from Desert View still on the south rim.

Campervans: Hello to a great trip

Who wouldn’t want a vacation? After all it is a prize that is packed with fun or reward after those days of workloads. United States, New Zealand, Australia and united kingdom are countries where campervanning or campervan rental has been the conventional concept of camping and experiencing the scenic beauty of nature and places that possess heavy concentration of historical architectures.

Campervan is synonymous to Motorhome and RV In New-Zealand and United States respectively. It is a motorvan vehicle that carries the comforts of home and provides the advantages of traveling with apparels and equipments. A campervan usually comes with bed/beds, toilet and bath (if you choose to), a dinette section, fridge and a kitchen to cook for food (include kitchen utensils), Radio, CD player, and air conditioned. Some campervans are well equipped, thus include extra comforts such as microwave, television, oven/grill, heater, and a portable tent.

Except for the make/model, these travel buddies vary indeed according to the comforts that it can provide and the size/ capacity of the vehicle. Campervans are built to accommodate 2 people, 4 people and 6 people. Transmission may be manual / automatic, modern campervan vehicles have power steerings.

I have had traveled with peers so it really saves us a lot that the cost of the net rental is fractioned to 5 or 6 of us. The more the merrier they say. However if the budget is that serious on your travel, you would be able to save a lot by eliminating T & B from your rental. Base on my experiences you won’t be needing a T & B if you are planning to explore resort after resort. And another thing when the campgrounds or the caravan parks have such amenities. Nonetheless if you’re traveling about six hours or more on some of your destinations then you should think twice.

US to Canada RVing

It is always wiser doing some research before traveling. A little research for the ease and getting that perfect vacation. Like the case of Crossing Canada, officers at the border would as much as possible make the inspection fast and smooth. So if you really need that trip to Canada make sure you know what you SHOULD know.

Follow the lanes. If there are no lanes for the RV, take the Bus lane or the truck lane, but bear with the slow moving on the truck’s lane. Some Rvs are too big and would be too wide for the car or bus lane its most likely that the mirrors are located on side.Always have an identification ready with you. If you are a US citizen you won’t need a passport. The rest make sure to have it. US citizens are instead required to show proof of citizenship. Kids as well. RV registration cards should be carried with you if you own it. However if you rented it, you should bring valid documentations from your rental company.

Cigarettes anyone? If you are 18 years and older you can carry 100 cigars except Cuban cigars, 200 grams of tobacco and or 200 sticks of tobacco. How about alcohols? Alcohols to bring are limited. Wine should not be more than 1.5 liters, not more than 1 liter of liquor.

If you are bringing pets with you, make sure that they have a certificate and the owner must be present. And that your animal buddy should have had taken vaccinations issued by a licensed veterinarian. If you are bringing equipments with you make sure that you declare it at the customs so you won’t have problem bringing them back into the US or to justify that you originally bought it in the US. The same goes with the firearms. And of course it is illegal to import firearms into Canada. Or when going back to the US.

When returning back to US from Canada, you would be going back to the same procedure. Remember the lanes you should take. Make sure to have a list of your purchases so receipts would be the best documents for proof. Take note that if you’ve stayed in Canada for over 48 hours, you may return back to US without duty or tax bringing $400 (based on fair retail value in Canada) worth of articles for personal or household use. If less than 48 hours, the maximum is $200. Also considered duty-free are 100 non-Cuban cigars, one liter of alcohol and one carton of cigarettes.

A little bad news for vegetarians though, it is recommended that you don’t bring fresh fruits, vegetables or meat into the United States. If you would be, contact APHIS (Animal and Plant Inspection Service) and get a copy of Traveler’s Tips, which lists what you can and can’t bring and also items for which you’ll need a permit. Unprocessed plant products, cuttings, seeds and some endangered species that may be allowed in th US would need to have import permits. Pets are allowed in the US but then again they should be accompanied by the owner, and vaccinations complete issued by a licensed veterinarian.
